Travel time (bus)=9h 30m
Madrid avda.de America station(9:00) ⇒ Barcelona Nord station(18:30)
Depart Madrid's Hostal at 5:50. Take the subway to Madrid avda.de America station at 6:30. I arrived early, so I lined up at the counter to change to the 7 o'clock bus, but many people gave up. He refuses to negotiate directly with the driver. I decided to have breakfast at a nearby Cafe and wait in the waiting room. When I talked to a young Japanese woman, she said she saw a bullfight in Pamplona last night and came to Madrid this morning. It seems that there was no place to stay last night and he stayed in a camp. He says that the reason he came here is to receive the visa he had applied for at the Japanese embassy because it has been nine months since he left Japan via South America. It seems that he will go to Cordoba and Granada from now on.
Take the bus bound for Barcelona at 9am as scheduled. I just went straight through the vast land overlooking the horizon and stopped at Zaragoza for a lunch break on the way.BarceronaFrom the car window in the foreground, I could see the jagged mountains of Montserrat.Montserrat means a jagged mountain (Mt. Nokogiri), and the ridgeline is literally jagged. There is a cathedral attached to the Santa Maria Monserat Monastery of the Benedictine, the sanctuary of Christianity.
I arrived at Nord station at 18:30. I was wondering if I should get off at Sants, the first station in Barcelona, but the correct answer was to go to the last station. Book a 2-day Hotel Triunfo (40.4€x 2 days) at the train station premises. When I went to the hotel, I was told to rebook at the hotel because there was no sky on the second day. I had no choice but to walk back to the Information office. So I changed the Hotel on the second day to Hotel Fornos (50 €), which is a little far from here. The price remained at 40.4€ because it was a mistake in the Information office. By the way, when I visited the bus stop for Roma, it was full, and there was one for Mirano. The sleeper train (189€) to Roma seems to operate only on Sundays. After checking in at the hotel, take a Viking food (15€) at a nearby Chinese restaurant. When I visited the transportation to Roma at the hotel reception, I was told that there was a ship, and he looked it up on the internet.
July 9, 2010(Fri.) Fine
Leave your luggage at the Hotel and leave after 7 o'clock. I decided to check the ship to Roma I heard last night. I stopped at the train station on the way and checked the train with the staff, but I can't make a reservation. While strolling along the beach early in the morning, I searched for the ticketing area of the ship while asking people, but I couldn't find it easily. I find a pier like that, but I can't reach it. You can see the ship berthed, and when you cross the bridge that leads to it, there is a checkpoint, and I was driven back when I went there. As you can see on the map, this is the Moll Adossat terminal, which is the port of departure and arrival of the Kurusu ship. When I returned from the bridge, I heard the way again and finally arrived at the ticket office. It was about two hours after I left the hotel, which was difficult for me to understand. I listened to it in poor English at the counter, but the staff did not understand it well and responded persistently. I had a sea mail tomorrow, so I was told to come tomorrow at 20:00 and decided to go back to the hotel.
Along the way, you'll pass through the very noticeable
It is a symbolic building in Barcelona and is called "La Seu". Passing through the facade, there is a gorgeous altar surrounded by stained glass.
There are 28 chapels and delicately carved choir seats in the cathedral.
There is an underground chapel in the basement where Euralia sleeps.
When checking out around 10 o'clock, buy a 1-day bus tour with a prepayment of 2€ off for 16€. I really wanted to make it 2 days, but tomorrow it will be suspended at 18:00, so I stopped it.I jumped on the bus that passed by, so it became a start on the blue route. This course passes through the unusual Gaudi-designed building Casa Mila House and through the Sagrada Familia. There was a long line at the entrance to Sagrada Familia. I went around for the time being and got on the red route this time.I got off at the Spanish Village, Catalunya Museum and Miro Museum on the Montjuic hill. The view of the city of Barcelona from the square in front of the Catalunya Museum was wonderful.
It is one of the largest private museums in the world.
July 10, 2010(Sat.) Sunny
I left my luggage at the Hotel around 9 o'clock and went to Sagra da Familia on foot.I decided to walk through the busy street in front of the hotel and follow the blue route I walked yesterday. It was quite a distance, but I arrived safely without much hesitation. When I was lining up at the ticket office, there was a Japanese man, so I had a little conversation.I paid a discounted admission fee of 12 € and entered through the Passion Gate on the west side.I gave up because there were a lot of people lined up at the entrance to the stairs to climb the spire. We spent a lot of time touring the exhibits in the museum, the stained glass.I bought a glass work with a completed Sagra da Familia building embedded in it at a souvenir shop. It was so hot that I took a short break in a nearby alley.
Then I took the subway (1.4 €) to the Lesseps station, where I walked up to Tibidabo to the cable car station and boarded the cable car (4 €).There was a magnificent Sacred Heart Church, which was just having a wedding. From the hill of Tibidabo at an altitude of 512m, I could see the panoramic view of Barcelona. We had a late lunch at bar with a view down the cable car.
By about 16:00, I returned to the downtown area and watched the Picasso Museum.Picasso lived in Barcelona for about eight years from the age of fifteen. This museum has no famous works, but it is a good place to see the changes in Picasso's style. I went to the Hotel around 18:00 to pick up my luggage and checked out.
From there, go to the pier window to get a ticket for the passenger ship via Lamplas Street. On the way, I meet a classic street performer on Lampras Street.I couldn't understand the language, and I had a hard time getting the ticket issued. Still, I managed to buy the desired Cabin ticket. I finished dinner (12 €) at the restaurant on the premises and finished the boarding procedure at 18:00. This time, I didn't know where to board, so I wandered around the pier. When I happened to go out of the waiting area, there was a line. When I visited a person who seemed to be Japanese, he was Korean. I was relieved to hear that the boarding was here. That person was 65 € for a seat and I was 125 € for a cabin. I didn't mean to be particular about the cabin, but the receptionist at the hotel wrote such a message. The Korean said that the cabin is good. From there, I took a bus to the passenger ship. The place I went wrong with the ticket office yesterday was the boarding area near the Moll Adossat terminal. Departure is 10:15, but there is no sign of movement. It was past midnight when I left the port.I watched the night view of Barcelona on the rooftop deck for a while. There were restaurants, bars, casinos, souvenir shops, etc. onboard, and I thought the trip was not bad. The cabin was a four-person bed with a toilet and shower. Fortunately there were no other guests and it became my private room.
