Toushouji temple was relocated and rebuilt from Ainoshima in the Genroku 14(1701).The weeping cherry tree is at the entrance to the temple, and there is a graveyard under the tree.It has been a landmark to Yonago Toushoji temple since ancient times.The estimated age of the tree is about 350 to 400 years, and it is thought that it was planted about 100 years earlier than the temple.The site of the site is one step higher, and it is possible that it was a residence that originated in the Middle Ages before the relocation of Toushouji Temple. In the flower season, it blooms like a Light crimson smoke to match the scenery of the mountain village. Valuable as a cultural property that tells the history of Yonago。
