It is said that it was dedicated to Atagoinari Shrine by the Iida feudal lord Mr.Yasutomi, and was planted by Chikumachi Kurodaya Mr.Chiyozou in a place where you can see Iida Castle (Osahime Castle) in the east of the precincts.The well proportioned tree shape that stretches heroically toward the sky has a personality reminiscent of Yasutomi Sakura.Trunk circumference 4.3m, tree height 16m, estimated age 200 years.（Diverted from the information board）
