- Oohinata Kannondou weeping cherry blossoms
The cherry blossoms are a pair of weeping cherry trees and are about 250 years old.Both trees are about 20 meters high and are next to Kannondou, which is said to have been built in 1624(Kanei 1). It blooms in an arc so as to cover the temple, and the colors of the flowers are vivid.An old road passes in front of Kannon-do, reminiscent of the former traffic, and conveys the rustic scenery of a satoyama.It is called Kannon-do's couple cherry blossoms. The trunk circumference is 3.7 m (left) and 3.2 m (right).A group to protect the cherry blossoms has been formed locally and is engaged in activities to protect the satoyama and the cherry blossoms.
