It is located in a corner of the main enclosure of Kitakumai Castle in Kataoka, Shiojiri City.It is called a cherry tree in the sky and overlooks the city of Matsumoto and the Northern Alps.There is a Kataoka observatory at the nearby Tentoku hot spring on a ｈigh ground, and you can see the Kataoka Zakura with the place name.The flowering time is the latter half of April.
