Houzouji Temple was founded in 1592 and was rebuilt at its current location after 1754(Houreki 4).The mountain gate is said to have been built in the 17th century and is designated as a cultural property of the village as the oldest wooden structure in the village.(Diverted from Urugi Village HP)
